Frequently Asked Questions

is it safe to take a multivitamin with omega 369 vitamin?
    what are the side effects?

    • ANSWER:
no side effects, it is safe!.May I make a suggestion? Do not get an omega369,just omega-3. The American diet is loaded with omega6 and 9. The relationship should be around 2 or 3 times omega 6/9 to omega3 in the body. Our diet gives us more like 100 times that. And omega 6 and 9 are pro-inflammatory while omega 3 is anti inflammatory with all the bad consequences that inflammation confers.

Vitamin C&E, omega 369 for acne scars?
how many would you have to take each a day for my acne scars to dissappear? And is vitamin C very nesscary, I understand the other two but just not the vitamin C and would also fish oil capsuels help also?

    • ANSWER:
Most scar treatments are completely worthless. Vitamin E would help because it is an oil and would help to retain moisture, vitamin C plays a role in collagen synthesis (collagen is a major player in skin). Fish oil probably won't do anything. You should add to this mix an alpha hydroxy acid. AHAs work by gradually sloughing off dead skin cells, allowing new cells to surface in their place. It's not an instant fix and may take several weeks, but gradually your scars will fade. The brand Alpha Hydrox makes a good face lotion.

i've been taking omega 369 and centrum for general health maintenance, should i continue on this path?
i'm taking them because i don't get all the vitamins and minerals and fish oils i am supposed to be getting everyday, i do fairly good with my eating but i take these just to make sure i'm getting what i need everyday. is there any other things or different things i should considor taking? anyone know the difference between the centrum ultra and cardio? cause i kinda wish i could take all 3 of them at the same time right , centrum and centrum ultra for men and centrum cardio. i don't really have any health problems soo, what do you guys have to sayy? thanks for the help everyone yahoo answers is awesome!

    • ANSWER:
Omega 3-6-9 is a good supplement as is fish oil (provided you are getting good quality versions) which you can continue to take. Centrum on the other hand is just one of many cheap vitamin and mineral supplements that uses synthetic vitamins and crushed rock minerals that are often not at all the same as the natural whole foods derived vitamins that contain the whole vitamin profile nor whole food derived minerals that have been broken down by soil micro-organisms and then pre-digested by plants to make them much more bioavailable for humans. Find yourself a good whole foods derived multi vitamin, mineral and nutritional supplement if you want the maximum benefit. Otherwise you may be saving money but mostly getting colorful urine.

What do you think of my diet?
    I am currently 25 weeks & 5 days pregnant.

Every morning when I get up - I drink a whole glass of water or with water/lemon.

I drink cranberry juice (at least 3 times a day) & eat dry cranberries.

I'll have a whole wheat bread usually with cream cheese or cheese with tomato on it or turkey roasted or just avocado on it.

For dinner usually rice, pasta, chicken or beef, or fish (once or twice a week) & always any salad or boiled vegetables.

    I love eating brussel sprouts.

I'll have a piece of cake or cookies (treat myself to sweets),...I can't live without them! lol

I drink milk daily - usually 2 full glass a day or with honey nuts cereal. Usually I'll have banana or berries inside my cereal.

Apples, berries, or bananas are what I usually eat.

I don't like drinking pops, but I'll have a tea or latte (3 times a week).

What else should I eat? to keep my baby healthy & develop well? would you recommend me?

Is drinking soya (milk) ok? I read they have 30% calcium.

I take prenatal vitamins & omega 369 daily (doctor's order).

    Thanks! =) xoxo

I notice these long grooved lines have appeared on my fingernails. What causes this? I take vitamins B12, Centrum silver and Omega 369 everyday so I do not think it is a lack of vitamins. Also eat my fruits and vegetable's like I should.

    • ANSWER:
You are looking for the wrong problem. It is a lack of Calcium. Drink more milk or find other means of attaining more Calcium and you should be fine. Plus, it's not something to worry about unless it's yellowish or somethin
